Swish Building Products will be proving that modern roofline; guttering and cladding materials can work hand-in-hand with traditional design at Vision 2015. Combining the high performance, low maintenance characteristics of PVC-U with lasting good looks, visitors to stand 12 will experience the diversity and flexibility of the Swish product range; ideal for standard, heritage and contemporary building styles.
Proven Versatility
Stand 12 will feature a heritage display showcasing the company’s PVC-U Tudor Board alongside a ball finial and bracing bar, a concave decorative roofline with trims, and a cast iron effect Ogee gutter system with unique down pipe castings. Alongside the traditional display visitors can also take a closer look at the high strength, high volume guttering system, SuperDeep 170, designed to handle a much higher flow rate than standard guttering systems.
Construction PVC Made Responsibly
The low maintenance building products manufacturer works hard to continuously improve its energy performance, creating best value products for its customers, architects and specifiers. This year Swish Building Products has achieved ISO 50001 energy management certification at its manufacturing site in Tamworth. The business has also retained BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing of Construction Products for the fourth consecutive year.
These awards follow another successful reduction in the company’s carbon footprint; the business now produces 32% less CO2 than it did in its base line year of 2008. It also shaved 5.8% off its electricity consumption in 2014 compared to the previous year; that’s an overall improvement of 30.5% from 2008; in real terms that’s equivalent to powering 1050 UK homes.
Since embarking on this environmental improvement programme water has been the company’s most dramatic saving; it is 62% more efficient than in 2008, down from 0.7 cubic metres of water per production tonne (normalised) to just 0.27; or put another way, a saving of 5,500,000 litres of water in just six years.
The business has also made year on year improvements in recycling, in 2014 Swish Building Products recycled 1.54 tonnes of post-industrial waste.
Alongside its proven, high quality products, and valuable accreditations Swish Building Products has invested in BIM objects for its roofline product range, available soon on www.swishbp.co.uk.
