This summer Spectus Window Systems is celebrating 15 years in partnership with Manchester-based fabricator and installer, Tyldesley Windows. The systems company marked the occasion with a presentation plaque; received by managing director and founder of Tyldesley Windows, Mike Potts.
First established as a joinery and installation firm in 1988, Mike went onto develop the business in the early 1990s, switching out to PVC-U fabrication. Over the past 24 years the company has increased its market share in the wider-Manchester area extending its services to include both retail and commercial.
Although the domestic and home improvement market accounts for a large percentage of the Tyldesley Windows order book, it has also supplied and installed windows and doors in some of the area’s most prestigious commercial buildings, including Wythanshawe Hospital and Lancaster University. The company also works closely with local authorities to improve and maintain local schools and education facilities.
Speaking about sustaining a successful business partnership Mike Potts said: “Spectus has been supplying us with its Elite 70 system for the last 15 years. And why am I happy for them to keep supplying me with profile? Well that’s simple; it’s a good quality product and makes a decent window. I’ve had very few issues with them over the years and that’s proven by the feedback from our customers; if they’re happy then so are we, and we’ve had no complaints yet.”
“Tyldesley Windows is an inspiring example of a well-run and effective window company,” comments Steve Malkin, regional development manager for Spectus Window Systems. “Mike has taken the firm from a two-man start-up to a successful business employing 15 staff, and we’re very pleased to have played a key part in that success.”
