The Epwin Group, the specialist low maintenance building materials group, has been listed as one of the UK’s top 250 mid-market businesses.
In its fourth year, The Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 annual league table is compiled by Oxford-based research company Fast Track.
It places the Epwin Group among a select number of UK businesses that it suggests are in a stronger position than other areas of the economy to see out current market instability.
An introduction to the study in the Sunday Times states: “If the health of the mid-market is any guide, then British business may be in better shape than headlines about collapsing banks, plunging stock markets and plummeting house prices might suggest.
“In a sector where firms are typically more nimble and less highly leveraged than their larger counterparts, signs remain encouraging.”
With an annual turnover of £196.2million, Epwin Group was listed by Fast Track as the tenth largest business in the South West and 196 nationally.
