Following her influence throughout Paddle2Pedal and ongoing support, GM Fundraising is delighted to welcome Clare O’Hara, Divisional Managing Director of Epwin Window Systems, as an official member of the fundraising team.
Gary Morton, founder of GM Fundraising comments: “Clare has been supporting GM Fundraising in an unofficial capacity since 2017. She initiated Paddle2Pedal, the first fenestration industry event for women and was the driving force in supporting the team of 12 ladies raise over £100,000 for Hope House Children’s Hospices, our nominated charity. We are delighted to welcome Clare to the team. She brings with her a passion to support GM Fundraising’s ethos of putting on great events to raise money and make a difference, as well as the support of her team at Epwin Window Systems.
Clare says: “I have always been humbled by the extraordinary support Hope House offers. When the opportunity to join GM Fundraising in a more official capacity was suggested, I didn’t have to think twice. Being part of the Paddle2Pedal team was an amazing experience that exceeded all our expectations and one that I am driven to repeat. GM Fundraising’s ambition is to have raised £2 million by 2020 and I am excited to be part of the team dedicated to achieving this.”
Epwin Window Systems is a huge supporter of GM Fundraising. Clare says: “I was delighted to be involved in Paddle2Pedal, which saw 12 of us canoe 100 miles of the River Wye, abseil 135ft down Symonds Yat and cycle 120 miles to Hope House in Oswestry, and we’ll be showing our support once again with the From Russia With Hope challenge and the 2020 events that are being planned.”
GM Fundraising raises around £130,000 every year for Hope House Children’s Hospices in Oswestry and Conwy through a variety of events including sporting challenges and gala dinners. It is run by a team of people committed to raising much needed funds for terminally ill children and their families and having fun in the process. For more information visit: www.gmfundraising.co.uk
